The Kings Arms' restaurant offers a fine dining experience, known for it’s quality steaks and excellent pub food sourced locally - but don't just take our word for it...
Great Evening
A quick note to say thank you to all your staff who were so friendly and pleasant last night (Saturday 22nd Jan). Managed to keep calm while we messed around with our orders, and even got the heating turned up when we felt the cold!
Superb meals, especially the Steak and Ale Pie (my brother and I agreed - the best pie we had ever had!). Thanks to you chefs. The Kings Arms seems to go from strength to strength, whereas some places get a bit stale and 'samey'. We are now retired, and looking forward to sampling your £10 lunch menu soon.
Many thanks

To the Manager & Staff
Many thanks to you all for the wonderful evening we had on Saturday. The food was delicious and the service couldn't be faulted.
You have found some new customers, as our staff and guests who have never visited you before, have all told us today that they will be returning again in the future.
Our compliments and best wishes to you all for a very merry Christmas.

Excellent Lunch
Dear Sirs
I wanted to thank you for an excellent lunch on Saturday. It was my birthday and I came in with my husband, son and his partner and my mother. We had a fantastic time thank you. As I am currently on the road to recovery having had surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I wanted something local to where we live to chill out, relax and have an enjoyable meal. You fulfilled every aspect of this. My son and I shared your wonderful steak on the bone for two which was fantastic, both my son's partner and my husband had your burgers, (my husband the Kobe) they were excellent and my mother is still talking about her scallops with pancetta. Thank you again.
We will be sure to recommend you to all friends and family.
Kindest regards.

What a Gem
I cant recommend the Kings Arms highly enough. I have eaten at many of the restaurants in the area and can honestly say this compares very well. This is more than just a pub that does food.
It has an excellent ambience you will not be disappointed with the quality of their food and very reasonably priced. I just wish it was a little closer to me, however always worth the effort. I have made the effort on quite a few occasions.

A Breath of Fresh Air
After years of Christmas parties at mediocre venues, what a breath of fresh air it was to book our annual staff outing at The Kings Arms.
Fantastic food, was equalled with fantastic service, we will definately be back!

Very Welcoming
Living locally, my husband and I have eaten here on many occasions, lunch and dinner, enjoying our meals each time. But the reason for writing the review stemmed from the fantastic evening we had on the occasion of my mother's 80th birthday dinner.
Even before we arrived the staff were extremely accommodating with regards to a birthday cake and balloon arrangements. And on the night, our party of 12 family and friends of all ages had wonderful 3 course meals, with the rib eye steak gaining particularly merit, 'melt in the mouth' and 'best steak I've ever eaten". Compliments to the chef!
Our waitress, Mandy, was wonderful, very patient, coping admirably with the jokes and banter and always with a smile.
When you book somewhere for a special occasion like this, it can be worrying that everything will go alright. But we had a great time and would recommend the Kings Arms to everyone else.

Food Always First Class as With The Service
Have eaten at the kings Arms a dozen or so times over the past 2 years.. Food is good to very good..to excellent .. never had a complaint .. staff excellent.. possibly priced just a wee bit high in the evenings BUT for Lunch you would be hard pressed to do better . Funny enough typing this waiting for a lift to go out to dinner.. guess where..?

Great Food That Tastes as Good as it Looks, Well Looked After...
I ate in here with a group of friends recently, we each had three courses which were all excellent. With reccomendations as to what was good on the night. The service went 'above and beyond', even splitting out two starters four ways for us before it got to the table...
We were well looked after all evening, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They even put up with our rather noisy hilarity with patience!
The atmosphere is nice without being too formal, but certainly special enough for a celebration meal...
Although it is a little more expensive than your average 'cavery' it is well worth it with an extensive menu and lots of specials to choose from...
Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Good Pub Food & Nice Atmosphere
We've eaten at the Kings Arms many times and have never had a bad meal. The menu is varied, so you can just choose something light and or go for one of their main meals. Last time we went I had cod & chips and have never had such a huge piece of fish, I hardly touched the chips!
Their lamb is also very good. If you like good home made pub food then you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere is always buzzing and the decor is a mix of modern and cosy traditional and very comfortable.

Chance Discovery
Stopped off here for lunch after droppping son at uni, so feeling in need of something comforting!
We had a lovely lunch, delicious king prawns and a selection of pates, ham, cheese, olives and breads. We had never been here before and didn't know the area, but we'll definitely be back. The staff were all friendly and efficient, place smart and clean and the prices reasonable.
The only dilemma is whether we need to try the roast lunch as an excuse to visit son in uni, or the other way round!

FANTASTIC!
With 3 friends we visited this busy local pub (we had pre booked a table) on a Saturday night and had a fantastic evening. Even though they were very busy the waiting staff were always available, polite and professional. The quality of the food was fantastic as was the wine. We will be going back very soon.

OUTSTANDING!
This pub is now the only pub in the local area where i KNOW i'm going to have a first class experience. The quality of food surpasses all other pubs in the area, and more importantly its hot when its delivered to the table. I dont mean that in terms of 'microwave hot' either.
My wife is a fussy eater and the chefs have personally catered for her needs, and on occasions created dishes which arent even on the menu (within reason!). The service is always outstanding.
I even broke a cardinal rule of mine not to eat Indian food anywhere other than an indian restaurant, but I saw someone else having the Indian dish at the Kings Arms and had to try it myself. It was absolutely brilliant.
Try the fishcakes as a starter too, they are out of this world. I cant recommend this pub highly enough! 10/10

Always Busy, Which is a Good Sign...
Visited for the first time tonight and found it packed at 8.15pm. You need to book and the phone number is 01202 577490. Staff seem friendly and there was quite a buzz. Has Ringwood on tap and a good selection of beers and wines as it's a free house. Hope the food is as good as it looks - yet to test that.

Superb Renovation
This pub has been closed for renovations - major one... i have been waiting patiently for the work to be done... and the wait was worth it... its been brought up to a high standard. To my suprise, when i walked in, they serve my two favourite tipples, Stowford Press Cider, and Timothy Taylor Landlord... had a look at their menu and can't wait to try it out... from my side and big thumbs up.
